this is sharks territory

This time of year... I wear teal every game day, I try my hardest to get tickets, I scream at the T.V. until my voice is gone, I twirl small towels over my head, I pray to the hockey God's that our team will be victorious, I even seriously consider wearing a fake beard on my face...

IT'S SHARKS PLAYOFF SEASON!!!!

The other day I come into work, and this is sitting on my desk! A signed mini poster of Dany Heatly. My friend Boot at work is friends with Dany's Dad, and put in a special request for me. I thought that was so thoughtful of him.

I guess I have gotten caught up in the playoffs more than usual this year, because I completely forgotten to update my blog for the past two weeks. It took my mom reminding me to finally get off the Sharks website and post a new blog.

Over the last two weeks Daniel and I have been to just about every sports bar in this area. I love watching it when the whole place lights up when they score, followed by high-fives all around! It is now the end of the first round, we won of course! Now we are on the the second round. My Dad and I just got tickets to the first game. I love going and spending that quality time with my Dad. We always go really early to Henry's High Life for a drink, then walk over to the game. Don't forget to look for us on T.V. on the night of the first game!

The countdown until our Caribbean cruise is in the 30's now! Only 31 more days... That means only 31 days left until my last day at the office. I am a little nervous about the upcoming changes, but a Caribbean cruise will be the perfect way to leave my worries behind. It's so exciting being this close to the next chapter in my life and an opportunity to live away from home for the first time. We just booked our first excursion for the cruise, we will be riding ATV's in Cozumel! So far I believe there are 18 people from Daniel's family going on this cruise. I can't wait to meet his extended family. My Dad will also be on the cruise, adding the the conga line of Wagners!

I hope you are having a joyful week, more updates soon. No more of this no blogging for 2 week business :)

GO SHARKS!!

tailgating

"sunny sundays"

It always amazes me when Daniel catches me off guard...it's a very hard thing to do. I am one of those people that can usually guess every Christmas and Birthday present. Good luck ever trying to throw me a surprise party, because I will probably get it out of you before I'm surprised. Every once in awhile though, my boyfriend Daniel will come up with some fabulous idea, and completely surprise me. This time it was taking me on a wonderful sunny picnic in vasona park!

He had the day planned out starting with picking up sandwiches at our favorite sandwich shop, Mr. Pickles! It's a tiny little place right there on Santa Cruz street. They are usually playing some kind of reggae, island music, and making unique, perfectly tasting yummyness. We got "shark bite" sandwiches on dutch crunch. If you have never been to Mr. Pickles in Los Gatos...It is a MUST for this summer.

We then headed off to vasona park, where we drove around the lake until we found a perfect spot. Pulling down the tailgate for the first time to have a picnic was such a treat for Daniel & I in his brand new Chevy Silverado. Just talking and letting our bare feet swing freely off of the tailgate was so nice and relaxing. I love just spending quality time with him, talking about anything & everything. It's days like this that I appreciate the little things in life. I am so thankful to have such a thoughtful, loving boyfriend.

Well, it's about time to do my favorite thing in the world...go get frozen yogurt, and make some cards! I have an idea in my mind for a cute one. I secretly think It's Daniel's favorite thing ever when I want to make cards/scrapbook, because I get in my focused zone and don't talk until its done...and he plays video games, usually NHL '10... ;)
Some last minute kind of exciting news, we were able to upgrade our room on the cruise we are going on at the end of May, for $100 more, we now have a BALCONY! woohoo. I was a little worried about being claustrophobic in an interior room with no windows. Daniel's family is trying to think of a good phrase to put on the matching shirts we are going to have made. They are for everyone in the Wagner group going on the cruise, about 16 people total! (cute right?!) so far the winning contending phrase is "California Dreamin'" since our cruise ship is named the Carnival Dream. Any ideas?
Have a beautiful night friends.

BFF's, frilly dresses & pink lemonade

"E&E"

Liz and I have been best friends for about 6 years now. It has been such an adventure, going through high school, first dates, proms, boyfriends, many Starbucks stops, road trips, college, jobs, 21st birthdays, clothes swapping...and our most recent adventure, moving out together!

We met up with our lovely friend Ashley Maxwell to do a totally girly, frilly, sparkly, BFF photo shoot. Liz and I met her about a year ago through mutual friends and got along instantly. We were so excited to do a fun photo shoot with her after she did such an awesome photo shoot with me last summer. We spent the day in Morgan Hill at property with horses, old trucks, tall grass, rusty tractors and one curious ranch dog that wanted to be part of all the action. Not the best day for a person with allergies like mine, but in between sneezes, Ash managed to snap some great photos. It was so nice catching up with Ash and telling her all about our future plans, and hearing about her busy bee life, hubby and wonderful kiddos! Do you know that feeling when you meet someone that just is so positive, loving, and inspires you to be a better person? That is Ashley in a nutshell. A mom, wife, friend, creative photographer and lover of Jesus. What a breath of fresh air.

I knew Liz and I were truly meant to be BFF's from the very beginning. I now know the meaning of "borrowing" clothes, we don't borrow, we have one extended wardrobe. When she comes over to my house and starts cracking up because she just tried on the exact same dress I bought from Forever 21. When I look out into my driveway, and see our matching white and black Jettas parked next to each other, with a Juicy necklace of some kind hanging from the rear view mirror... And of course, when I get those calls on a Tuesday night after work, "Margs & Guaq?" These are the things that make us BFF's. Just laughing and cracking up all through our photo shoot about the horse with curly hair, we couldn't decide what to call it, I think it's name ended up being something like "cow-buffalo-dog-horse" These pictures are a snapshot of the friendship of me and Liz. Here is to all of the memories to come!

If you get a chance to check out her website & blog, they are the most beautiful wedding/people/couples pictures I have ever seen. Her website is:

We love you sweet Ash Max. We are so excited to decorate our new apartment with all of our new pictures!

chocolate easter eggs

Happy Easter friends!

Today Daniel and I spent time with both of our families. It was so nice to just spend a day chatting and breaking bread with everyone. We started the day off with an EASTER EGG HUNT in Daniel's house! No one is too old for chocolate Easter eggs. I've probably had about 5 already today.

Then we headed off too Mimi's cafe with my Dad, Grandpa, Aunt and Uncle Stibbe. I just love that place! It's decorated so cute and country-ish! Not to mention those yummy muffins they serve.

Our next stop was to Daniel's Aunt Mickey's house. It was a rainy drive, and we saw lots of accidents along the way... The rain also reminded me of all the girls who bought fun Easter dresses for today, that will probably have to be saved for a nicer, brighter day :) It was a lovely afternoon drinking champagne and sharing dinner and stories. Although the day was rainy and cloudy, I am so excited for spring! As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers... and I can't wait!

Above all, I hope we all took some time to remember why Easter is celebrated. Remembering the resurrection of Jesus Christ...

1 Peter 1:3
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..."

Happy Easter to you & your wonderful families!

cards & cupcakes

The day is coming to an end, but I couldn't sleep before doing a quick post. I am enjoying this new blog thing :)

A few weeks ago (March 18th) was Daniel's sweet sister Tina's birthday. If you know us, we always refer to each other as "Sisty" just because we wish we were real sisters :) I always look forward to Sisty's birthday because 1) I know she will pick an amazing place for her birthday dinner, which she did! we went to Opa! and it was the yummiest Greek food ever, and 2) It gives me an excuse to make pink extra girly cupcakes. It was pretty hard to keep her out of the kitchen ;) but finally she was able to see her birthday surprise.

Time to curl up into bed now, and fall asleep to the smell of my new pineapple scented candle. It smells just like Hawaii...Which reminds me of some more exciting news that I will be posting soon ;)

I would love to see my friends blogs! If you have one, can you send me the link, I would love love love to see...

sweet dreams,
