the beginning

Well, where do I start?

Hello everyone! ...a little bit about me: I am 21 and working as a paralegal for my uncles law office in San Jose...but enough with what I am supposed to say...hmm, about me, I love to make things for people, or get them the perfect gift. My love language would be giving gifts. There's just something about creating something that people will love.

I like to make cupcakes (decorating them for all occasions, and trying not to eat too many!)

Photography is another love that I have recently discovered, I took a few classes at west valley college (both digital and film photography) and I completely love it! There is something special about capturing one moment in time and having that image to remember it forever.

Finally, making cards, for all kinds different occasions, and for people to remember all of the special occasions in their lives. I will post some cards I've been working on, but am a little nervous...it's always a little scary to put your creation out there for everyone to see. I am hoping to start selling some soon at local boutiques.

Scapbooking is also a love of mine. Mostly just for my boyfriend and I to remember our busy lives and not lose all of those little keepsakes. Like your first Sharks game ticket, or just fun photo booth strips :)

2010 has been a great year so far, starting off with a bang. I made this blog because of all of the adventures planned for this year and exciting opportunities that have come up recently. I have been blessed so much this year with traveling and all of the people I will be spending so much of my time with. Coming up May 29Th I will be going on a cruise with my boyfriends lovely family. They are the most wonderful people and it has been so much fun getting ready for this trip together. Just tonight, Daniel's mom Julie, his auntie Linda, sister Tina, and I all went tanning. Just spending that girl time together is something to be cherished!

This summer I will be going on a trip to England with my Hottie hot auntie Nessy :) I can not be more excited for this trip. 2 American girls, spending a little over 2 weeks in England learning about the country where my grandparents were born and raised. They moved from Bournmouth, England to Canada and eventually here to Santa Clara. Our mission for the trip: to come home with British accents. What a generous and loving gift that my grandparents have given us.

Cheerio darling,
elise diane

  5. Hi Elise!
You're off to a great start. I am hoping that you come back from England with more than just a British accent - Prince Harry would be nice!

  6. Elise: The photos of your cards were very well done. I can see that your photography classes and the new Nikon DSLR have made a big difference - you have moved past the "snapshot" phase. We will look forward to seeing the photos from your upcoming trip to England.
